The greatest person who ever lived lay before us the greatest challenge ever given to man.
“Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you . . .” (Matthew 28:19-20).
The great Commission. It’s the last recorded instruction Jesus gave to His disciples which makes it pretty significant. It’s also a special calling from Jesus to all His followers to take specific personal action while on this earth.
Faith in action.
That’s a great challenge, perhaps the greatest challenge ever given to us by the greatest person who ever lived.
It’s very humbling to know that every person has an important, God-given role to play in helping to fulfill the Great Commission.
And no matter how wealthy, witty, successful or success-pending you are the personal challenge is the same. It is a Great Equalizer of people.
