Our Story.
The Well is a growing Wesleyan Methodist Church in Christchurch named for the story of Jesus and the woman at the well in John 4. In this story we see a broken woman’s life restored by Jesus’ transforming power and love.
She, in turn, shares His love with her neighbours and they too experience life change. By naming the church The Well, we acknowledge we are not the Living Water but serve as a guide to point people toward Jesus, the true Living Water.
Big things happen when you encounter God and you’re awakened to experience and express the depth of His love; this is the mission of The Well. As this occurs, we believe we’ll see our city transformed through a community devoted to loving God and loving others.
